I can understand why some people are against this type of music, because it’s too much a “goyish” taste, but you also have to look at the other side. This song, according to me, is one of the best songs of this genre. There are not many songs of this type. Sadly there are many Jewish people that listen to goyish music and I won’t lie, I do to. Some people like rap, some rock, heavy metal, etc… The Jewish music industry has been trying to cater to all tastes. You have bands playing all different types except rap; you’ve had some try but most sounded like garbage and not at all similar to the “real” stuff. I’m emphasizing rap because that’s the type of goyish music I like, not heavy or gangster rap just simple like, this song. This is the first song I’ve heard that makes me want to listen to more Jewish music, don’t get me wrong, I love Jewish music and am a big fan of Lipa, Eli Gerstner, and others, especially Israeli music. I think we need more songs like this, similar to non-Jewish but yet a strong Jewish connection. People will see they can listen to the same type of songs without ruining their mind with detrimental lyrics. My main point of listening to non-Jewish music is because of the music, if the music is good then you don’t really need good lyrics. This song on the other hand not only has great music but also great lyrics and not to mention a real music video not just singing in a studio, which seems to be the new way to make a music video these days.
I’m sorry but also happy to inform you that I will be away in Israel until January 21st thereby not being able to post. When I come back i will hopefully have great pictures to post! In the meantime i hope you all enjoy my previous posts and continue to visit the blog.
The truth is and I wonder why, is a little confusing for me to understand. Let me start with, the truth is. When someone starts a sentence, “well the truth is …..” are you supposed to believe them cause they said there saying the truth? Have you ever heard someone say, “Well the lie is….”? Why can’t people just say what they want, why do they waste words they don’t have to say?
Now to I wonder why. When someone says, I wonder why …., do they actually wonder why? I think 75% of the time it’s used in a sarcastic form. For example: I wonder why he got in trouble? No you don’t, you know exactly why!
Constantly people talking about Obama keep mentioning that he is black but I say who cares? So a black can become president, I’m all for that and that’s not the reason why I’m against Obama. The reason is because he’s a Muslim communist and dangerous for Jews, Israel and everything that America stands for! He wants change which we don’t need right now rather we need stabilization.
Does anyone for a second think he’s going to do even a quarter of what he said? He’s going to say as soon as he becomes president that change cant happen right away and he will need 4 years to fix up America and the change will happen the second 4 years.
Now that he has won though we must face facts and that’s what is. For all the people who think they have to leave America now, GO! America doesn’t need you! If you cant stand beside it for good and bad times then leave. Its like the stock market, its never stable, there are ups and downs and that doesn’t mean you have to take your money out every time it goes down a little bit.
This past shabbos i had the privilege of being in boro park. Friday night and shabbos day i davened in the bobov on 48th street, as a side note i know nothing about the politics and do not want to know. I found some things very interesting in that shul. For some reason the bobov rebbe walks around in the back of the shul i was told its because in the olden days people used to talk a lot. Now when he walks by everyone scatters because if you are standing there he will make you sit up in the front and for sure no one talks. Another interesting thing is that the rebbe wears a tallis the whols shabbos before i had never heard of such a thing. Otherwise i think the shul is very nice and the davening is beautiful. Friday night for lecha dodi they sang a very nice slow bobov nigun.
Wow a new CD by MRM music. All this music company ever does is make CD’s with a compilation of already known songs. With this CD he is just repeating the obvious, you think there is not enough chanukah CD’s out there?

There is a purim one, a relaxation, another chanukah, a wedding and a dancing. Theseare all repetitive songs that are on tons of other CD’s. This guy is just stating the obvious. He is not taking time to sit and compose his own songs! Therefore I would not buy this new CD if I were you.
